- Start the seeds indoors between December-April or August-September.
- Sow the seeds on the surface of moist compost and lightly cover.
- Place in a warm area at a constant temperature of 20-25c.
- The seeds will germinate in 7-14 days.
- Once the seedlings are 5-7cm, transplant into individual pots.
- Gradually acclimatise the plants to cooler conditions.
- When the seedlings are 13cm, pinch out the growing point.
- Plant out once the risk of frost has passed in their final position, 30cm apart.
- Remove the plants at the end of spring once flowering has finished
- Replace with annuals for a succession of colour.
