- Start the seeds indoors from February-April.
- Sow thinly on the surface of seed compost and press them in lightly.
- Don’t cover as light is needed for germination.
- Keep consistently moist and at 20c until seedlings appear.
- Germination should occur in 10-20 days.
- Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into small pots and grow them on.
- Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions.
- Plant out after the risk of frost has passed, spacing plants about 40cm apart in their final position.
- Cut back after flowering to encourage further blooms and prevent self‑seeding.
