Cress is a popular microgreen that produces delicate stems and small, vibrant leaves. With a fresh, peppery flavour, cress compliments many dishes including salads, sandwiches, soups and omelettes. These quick growing microgreens are not only tasty, but also full of essential nutrients such as vitamins A, E and K.

Our microgreen and sprouting seeds are untreated, non-GMO, and have undergone rigorous laboratory testing for pathogens.

Cress Plain/Common – Growing Instructions

  1. Sow your seeds directly onto a moistened growing medium, which is 3-4cm deep.
  2. Lightly mist the seeds with water.
  3. Place the seeded tray into a second tray without drainage holes. This will allow you to bottom water the tray
  4. Cover with another tray on top to stop light getting in.
  5. Blackout for 4-5 days and gently mist when the soil is dry.
  6. Once the seeds are 1-2cm, they should be ready to be placed in a well-lit location.
  7. When watering the seedlings, keep using the bottom tray.
  8. Harvest between day 7-12 or when the seedlings are 5cm tall. Cut the stems above the soil line with a knife or scissors.
