Sweetcorn Shoots – Growing Instructions

1. Soak the seed for 8-12 hours in room temperature water, before rinsing and draining the seed.
2. After this, sow the seeds directly onto a moistened growing medium and cover the seeds and lightly mist with water.
3. Place the seeded tray into a second tray without drainage holes. This will allow you to bottom water the tray.
4. Cover with another tray on top to stop light getting in or place somewhere dark e.g. a cupboard. If the soil is dry, then water from the bottom or mist.
5. Harvest when the seedlings are around 7cm or around day 7. Cut the stems above the soil line with a knife or scissors.
