Ranunculus Deep Purple – Cultivation Advice
- Plant between September-December in mild areas.
- Alternatively, plant in late winter or early spring, when the temperature warms up.
- The corms will be dormant when they arrive, store them in a cool, dry place until they are ready to plant.
- Soak the corms for 3-4 hours in cool or room temperature water.
- Optional – Pre-sprout the corms to give them a head-start.
- Place the soaked corms on top of the soil, with the claws pointing down and lightly cover.
- Keep in a cool location between 4-10c for around 10-14 days.
- Use a hand trowel or bulb planter and dig a hole which is 6-10cm deep.
- Place the bulb with the claws facing downwards.
- Gently cover the bulb and lightly compress the soil.
