- Sow under cover in trays with warmth provided from Feb – Apr and into May outdoors.
- Seed should surface sown and lightly pressed into seed grade compost or lightly covered with vermiculite.
- Placing in a clear plastic bag helps retain moisture if not in a covered heated propagator.
- Germination averages 14-21 days at 20c.
- Needs light to germinate
- Transplant seedlings to individual pots when large enough to handle and gradually acclimatise plants
- to outdoors after all risk of frost has passed.
- Plant out 30-40cm apart in full sun.
