Lobelia White Lady
Lobelia White Lady. A stunning snow white upright annual lobelia delivering masses of flowers against green foliage. Will form a stunning display by itself or alongside any other lobelia shade. Excellent for containers, in the foreground of flower beds and hanging baskets. Blooms until the first hard frost.
Cultivation Advice Lobelia White Lady
- Sow 4-8 weeks prior to the last frost under cover with warmth at 18-24C (65-75F) in a good fine seed compost.
- Sow seeds on surface of compost and gently firm down the compost.
- Keep soil damp but not wet, sealing in a polythene bag after sowing is helpful to retain humidity
- and save watering whilst young.
- Do not exclude light.
- Germination takes 10-21 days depending on temperature.
- When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant in bunches to trays and grow on in cooler conditions.
- Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost,
- 10cm (4in) apart in a sunny spot in light, moist soil.
