Herb Peppermint (Mentha Piperata) – Cultivation Advice
- Sow the seeds in compost but do not cover seeds as they need light to germinate.
- Gently press the seeds onto the soil to ensure good contact.
- Lightly mist the seeds and keep in a propagator at a temperature of 18-20c.
- Germination can be erratic and can take between 7-14 days to germinate.
- Once the seedlings are large enough to transport into small pots.
- Then plant outside once the risk of frost has passed.
- Regularly harvest to encourage new shoots to grow.
