Herb Peppermint (Mentha Piperata) – Cultivation Advice

1. Sow the seeds in compost but do not cover seeds as they need light to germinate.
2. Gently press the seeds onto the soil to ensure good contact.
3. Lightly mist the seeds and keep in a propagator at a temperature of 18-20c.
4. Germination can be erratic and can take between 7-14 days to germinate.
5. Once the seedlings are large enough to transport into small pots.
6. Then plant outside once the risk of frost has passed.
7. Regularly harvest to encourage new shoots to grow.
