- Start the seeds indoors January-December.
- Sow the seeds thinly on the surface of moist seed compost and do not cover, as light aids germination.
- Keep at a temperature of 20-24c until germination occurs.
- Seeds will usually germinate within 10-25 days.
- Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into individual pots.
- Grow indoors or undercover in bright conditions.
- Do not over-water, as this variety is prone to rotting.
- Remove spent flowers to encourage continuous blooming.
Gerbera ‘Jamesonii’ Hybrids Mix is a perennial with large, bright daisy-like flowers in shades of red, pink, orange, yellow, and white. Originating from South Africa, they aren’t fully hardy in the UK and are best grown undercover or in a sheltered spot.
