 Cultivation Advice Dianthus Spring Beauty Mixed
- Sow the seeds sparingly from early spring indoors or heated under cover onto the surface of a free-draining, open, seed sowing compost, which should be thoroughly wetted and cover lightly.
- Alternatively sow in autumn and over-winter frost free undercover.
- Germination takes around 7 days at 18-20C (higher temperatures may reduce germination).
- Keep the germinating seedlings moist at all times.
- When large enough to handle transplant to trays.
- Harden off before planting to final growing position.
- Plant out from mid spring after last frosts.
