- Sow the seeds directly outdoors from January-March in a well-prepared, well-drained seedbed.
- Sow the seeds thinly on the surface of the soil and press in.
- Don’t cover as light aids germination.
- Keep the soil consistently moist until seedlings emerge.
- Seeds will usually germinate within 10-21 days, depending on conditions.
- Once seedlings are large enough to handle, thin them to 20cm apart to allow space for growth.
- Water moderately during dry spells until established, but avoid waterlogging.
- Leaves can be harvested once the plants are established.
- Remove flowers to prevent self-seeding.
