Asparagus Sweet Purple
Asparagus Sweet Purple. A stunning deep burgundy purple variety producing larger spears than its green counterpart. There is less lignin per spear, which make the spears less stringy and much more tender allowing the use of the entire spear. With up to 20% higher sugar content this variety is often eaten raw. When cooked, the sweetness gives this asparagus a mild, nutty flavour.
