Antirrhinum (Snapdragon) Dwarf ‘Tom Thumb’ is a compact variety producing dense clusters of small, brightly coloured flowers. Ideal for borders or containers to add vibrant colour.

  1. Sow indoors from January-March on the surface of a good quality compost.
  2. The seeds will benefit from being chilled overnight prior to sowing.
  3. Lightly press the seeds into the soil and don’t cover the seed.
  4. Place in a heated propagator between 20-25c for 10-21 days.
  5. When seedlings are 2-3 inches high, transplant into 7.5cm and move to cooler conditions.
  6. Pinch the seedlings out when they develop around 6 true leaves to encourage a bushier plant.
  7. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions over 7-10 days before planting out.
  8. Plant in a sunny location, in well-drained soil at a distance of 30-50cm apart.
  9. Autumn sowings can be overwintered under glass for planting out the following spring.
