Sungold F1 is an indeterminate cherry tomato cultivar known for its exceptionally sweet flavour, often ranking among the highest on the Brix sweetness scale. As a reliable F1 hybrid, it produces long trusses of golden-orange fruit and performs well in both greenhouse and outdoor conditions.

This variety offers excellent disease resistance, including against tobacco mosaic virus and fusarium wilt, and routinely reaches 2m+ in height with the correct support. Its proven performance has earned the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit.

Tomato Sungold F1 – Growing Instructions

  1. Sow the seeds on moist soil and lightly cover.
  2. Gently compress the soil and place it in a bright location.
  3. These are best in a heated propagator, at a constant temperature of 20-24c.
  4. Water as necessary and the seeds should germinate between 7-14 days.
  5. Once true leaves have developed, transplant the seedlings into individual pots
  6. Plant out in a greenhouse or outside (once all danger of frost has passed) with 50cm between plants
  7. As an indeterminate variety the stem will require training and support (stake, trellis or string)
  8. Water regularly and feed weekly with our all-purpose plant feed.
