- Sow the seeds indoors throughout the year.
- Alternatively, sow directly outside when it’s above 10c.
- Mix the tiny seeds with fine sand to aid even sowing.
- Sow the seeds on the surface of moist, well-drained compost and lightly cover with vermiculite.
- Place in a heated propagator at a constant temperature of 18-22 c.
- The seeds will germinate in 14–21 days.
- Once the seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into individual pots.
- Gradually acclimatise the plants to cooler conditions.
- Plant out once the risk of frost has passed in a sunny, well-drained position.
