Ammi majus is like a delicate cow parsley with tiny white flowers that flutter and float gently in the wind. The tall, architectural starburst flowers and fresh, green foliage add natural elegance to the garden. I pick it for clouds of white for a wedding or add it to soft, pastel arrangements for a light, airy look. It’s a must-have for every flower grower.

Larkspur are the annual form of the perennial delphinium. I choose these for their more relaxed and delicate spires. ‘White King has pearly rosettes which sway and glow gently at dusk. Growing them from seed in abundance means you can pick and arrange them as they last brilliantly in the vase.

California poppies are easy to grow, you can literally scatter the seed on open ground, and they will do their stuff. This one is a stylish ivory white which glows beautifully from pots, beds or borders. I love these creamy flowers with their feathery blue-green foliage sown in drifts. California poppies close their petals as the evening light fades. Deadhead regularly for more flowering.

The tobacco plant is the ideal flower for around your outside table or terrace. Pure white, deliciously fragrant flowers with a delicate green eye, which is happy in a  partially shaded area. It will self-sow and grow on year after year.
