Larkspur are the annual form of the perennial delphinium. I choose these for their more relaxed and delicate spires. ‘Pink Queen’ has lovely pink rosettes and is commandingly pretty in the border. Growing them from seed in abundance means you can pick and arrange them as they last brilliantly in the vase.

I love this beautiful and ethereal-looking species variety of dianthus, with its feathery, delicate shell-pink petals and wonderful scent. It will flourish in free-draining soil and adds an eccentric glamour to your garden and flower arrangements.

Every garden needs cosmos, they flower and flower and are the backbone of the cutting garden. ‘Colletta Pink-White’ is a pretty pinky-mauve and white cosmos with a patterned almost textured look to it. An elegant, pale coral-pink aster that will flower for months. I love the tall, straight stems which are ideal for arranging and wonderful full bloomed flowerheads which last brilliantly in the garden and vase. These will flower all through late summer and into October which is joyous when so many other flowers have gone.
