Sowing and Growing

1. Refrigerate the seed for 2 weeks before sowing to help germination
2. Sow in a seed tray into moist compost at 15-18C
3. Keep out of direct sunlight until green shoots appear
4. Pot on into 8cm pots once the seedlings are large enough to handle
5. Plant out in May

Happy in most well-drained soils. To encourage more flowers, cut the flower spike down to the small side shoots once it has finished flowering. Please note seeds and flowers are poisonous.

Arrange these long stems in your biggest vase with peonies, roses, and fresh foliage from the garden.
