“January and February are cold months, so seeds need starting undercover, whether that’s in a polytunnel, greenhouse, or best of all in your house. I sow seeds in the house for germination only, but if you want to keep seedlings growing indoors, you will need extra light. For seedlings growing undercover outside, I recommend heat from an electric mat underneath, or a hotbed.”
