Squash ‘Turk’s Turban’ is an ornamental and edible squash with distinctive turban-shaped fruits marked in red, white, and dark green. Perfect for sunny vegetable gardens or decorative displays.

  1. Sow undercover between April-June.
  2. Plant the seed 1.5cm deep, on its edge to reduce the risk of rotting.
  3. Lightly cover and place in a propagator at a temperature of 20c or higher.
  4. Gradually harden off the seedlings after the first true leaves develop.
  5. Transplant into the growing position late May to early June, after the risk of frost has passed.
  6. Choose a well-drained, sunny site sheltered from strong winds.
  7. Provide plenty of space for the plant to spread.
  8. Water as needed and keep the area weed free for good air circulation.
  9. Once fruits begin to develop, feed every 14 days with a tomato-type fertiliser.
