Echinacea White Swan

A stunning white variety of this ever poplar “Herbaceous Perennial” , shorter than its purple cousins at 24-30in. This plant produces an abundance of large, pure white flowers with down swept white petals surrounding a large central cone and possessing a lovely honey fragrance are produced from early summer. Echinacea combines well with other tall perennials such as Daisies, and its long stems make it ideal for cut flower bouquets. Can be sown from Spring or Autumn.

Echinacea Coneflower White Swan – Growing Instructions

  1. Sow the seeds on the surface of moist compost and lightly cover with vermiculite.
  2. Place in a heated propagator at a constant temperature of 20-25c.
  3. Make sure the propagator is placed somewhere bright as light aids germination.
  4. The seeds will germinate in 14-21 days.
  5. If the seeds haven’t germinated, place them somewhere cold for around 2-4 weeks before returning to the warmth.
  6. Once the seedlings are 5-7cm, transplant into individual pots.
  7. Gradually acclimatise the plants to cooler conditions.
  8. Plant out once the risk of frost has passed (May-June).
