1. Sow indoors from February to May.
2. Soak seeds for 24 hours in warm water before sowing to improve germination.
3. Sow seeds on the surface of moist compost and cover with 6mm of compost.
4. Place in a propagator at 22-25c and germination will occur in 10-14 days.
5. When seedlings are large enough, transplant into 7.5cm pots.
6. After germination, grow on at a slightly cooler temperature to encourage strong growth.
7. Once all frost has passed, harden off and plant outdoors in the final growing position.
8. Alternatively, grow in large containers or a greenhouse growbag.
9. Provide support as plants grow.
10. When fruits begin to form, feed with a potassium-rich fertiliser at each watering.
11. For the best flavour and continuous cropping, harvest fruits before the skin loses its shine.
