WILLOW CROSSLEY

Nasturtium 'Jewel of Africa'

£2.95

‘Jewel of Africa’ has tangerine, crimson and cream flowers. I love it for a happy tumble of intrepid leaves and flowers. Climbers like these are excellent for pots and on wigwams in the garden. They go on and on, right through to the frosts and will self sow. Add the flowers and the bright green fresh-tasting peppery leaves to salads and rice dishes for some extra colour and flavour.

How to Grow

Sowing and Growing

  1. Direct sow in position from March to May
  2. Sow thinly into drills of well-raked soil. 30cm apart
  3. Water regularly

These nasturtiums love to climb, so be sure to sow them somewhere they can stretch out.

Arranging

I use the speckled leaves as much as the flowers in little bud vases and sprinkle them both in salads.
