Essential Herbs Bundle

Especially popular with chefs, this Italian favourite produces an abundance of bright dark flat green leaves of excellent strong flavour held well above the ground on 12 inch plants.  Can be grown on the windowsill or equally  in the garden for a continuous all year round crop.  Annual.

Herb Basil Genovese. The classic large-leaved Italian sweet basil prized for its spicy flavour and wonderful aroma.  Fragrant plants grow 18-24″. This is the variety of choice for pesto.  Make successive sowings for continuous summer supplies. Annual.

One of the best varieties to grow producing sweeter and more flavourful leaves than other types.  Similar to Apple mint, however the plants are far more robust reaching 60-90cm with large velvety green-grey leaves and less invasive.  Best grown in rich, moist soil and partial shade and produces lilac and cream flowers in late summer.

Herb Thyme Thymus Vulgaris. English thyme is an attractive plant for the herb garden with upright stems of tiny, gray-green leaves and small pink flowers that attract bees and beneficial insects.  Thyme leaves are an important ingredient in many dishes, including poultry stuffing and fresh tomato salsa. Cut small branches, rinse under running water, then strip the leaves off the stem.  Medicinally, thyme tea has been used for coughs as a mild decongestant for centuries

Coriander Calypso is the slowest bolting variety available. This variety has a low growing point, which makes it easy to harvest and to be cut back. It will also re-grow up to four times after being cut back. The fragrant and aromatic leaves go well in salads, soups and curries.
