WILLOW CROSSLEY
£3.95
You can’t help but love these little tiger-faced flowers in dark purple and orangey-bronze. I fill lots of little pots and place them in groups around the end of paths, by the back door or at the edge of a border for a joyous splash of colour.
Sowing and Growing
Sow these early from March for flowers the same year or in September for flowers the following year.
When the seedlings are about 2.5cm tall with 4 leaves, it is safe to harden then off gradually. When transplanting them, be careful not to disturb the roots. They can be in shade but thrive on a bit of sunshine.
Arranging
These can be arranged in little bowls with frogs as well as bud vases to dot down the table. The flower heads can be used to decorate salads or sorbets.
