- Sow undercover from April-June at 16c.
- Place 2-3 seeds per 8cm pot, 50 mm deep.
- When seedlings are large enough, transplant into 7.5cm pots.
- After germination, grow on in slightly cooler conditions to encourage strong, sturdy plants.
- Once all frost has passed, harden off and plant outdoors in the final position.
- Alternatively, sow directly outside from May onwards, spacing seeds 20cm apart.
- Provide support and plant three beans per cane.
- Water regularly while plants establish.
- Feed every 14 days with a liquid fertiliser.
- Pinch out the growing tips when they reach the top of the support.
- Harvest frequently to promote continuous cropping.
- If growing for Exhibition, thin to one pod per flower stem to increase the pod length.
