Pepper ‘Scotch Bonnet Red’ is a classic Caribbean variety with small, glossy fruits measuring 2.5-4 cm long. Known for its distinctive bonnet-shaped fruits, it delivers intense heat along with a fruity, tropical flavour. Perfect for authentic Caribbean cooking, these chilies are ideal for sauces, marinades, and fiery condiments.

  1. Sow the seeds on moist soil and lightly cover.
  2. Gently compress the soil and place it in a bright location.
  3. These are best in a heated propagator, at a constant temperature of 22-24c.
  4. Water as necessary and the seeds should germinate between 10-21 days.
  5. Once true leaves have developed, transplant the seedlings into individual pots.
  6. When 10-12cm plant in a greenhouse or conservatory with the root ball 1cm below the surface.
  7. The stem may require some support.
  8. Water regularly and feed weekly with our all-purpose plant feed.
