- The seed does need stratification, therefore, it needs a period of cold weather to break the seeds dormancy – this can be achieved by placing in the fridge for 10-14 days prior to sowing.
- Can be sown late autumn and naturally chill for spring germination or after soil warms having chilled the seeds first.
- The seeds are tiny and will not appreciate crowding, there best mixed with fine dry white sand to ensure spacing.
- Can be sown direct to growing position outdoors.
- For micro-greens best sown in trays on fine seed compost – seed just needs pressing gently into growing medium, it must not be covered as the seed needs light to germinate.
- Place tray in a clear plastic bag to maintain humidity to cover tray with a piece of clear glass – do not allow the growing medium to dry out.
- Can be invasive if left unchecked or allowed to go to seed.
- Height 70 cm.
