Each pellet is encased in fine netting to retain shape and allow for easy, mess-free transplanting with minimal root disturbance. Perfect for use in seed trays, propagators, or greenhouse settings, and suitable for vegetables, herbs, and flowers – without the use of peat. By using peat-free alternatives, you can reduce the environmental impact and support healthier ecosystems.
Small (25mm) – Suitable for small, fast-growing seeds e.g. Lettuce, Rocket, Spinach and herbs
Medium (35mm) – Suitable for medium-sized seeds such as Tomatoes, Peppers, and Cucumbers or for larger herb plants like dill or parsley.
Large (50mm) – Suitable for large seeds or slow-growing plants e.g. Aubergines, Courgettes and Squash
-
Place the dry pellets in a tray with the indented side facing up.
-
Pour warm water over the pellets and let them soak for 5–10 minutes until fully expanded.
-
Gently drain or squeeze any excess water to prevent waterlogging and allow air to reach the roots.
-
Sow 1-2 seeds per pellet at the recommended depth for each variety, then lightly cover and place under propagation conditions.
-
Keep the pellets consistently moist, but avoid overwatering, until the seeds germinate.
-
Once the roots are well-developed, transplant the entire pellet directly into soil – the netting does not need to be removed.
