Celeriac ‘Prinz’ produces smooth, light-skinned roots with firm white flesh and a subtle, nutty flavour. It shows excellent bolting resistance and remains healthy well into autumn. This RHS Award of Garden Merit variety is ideal for roasting, mashing or adding to soups, and stores exceptionally well through the winter months.

Cultivation Advice

Sow seeds in March.
Sow seeds 1–2 mm deep in trays or modules and keep the soil moist.
Germination will occur in 14–21 days.
Transfer single seedlings to individual small pots when they can be handled.
Maintain a temperature of 15-18c to prevent bolting.
Harden off young plants before transplanting in May.
Space plants 30-40 cm apart.
Harvest from late September to November when roots are fully developed.
