- Sow seeds directly outdoors from mid-March to early July in a stone-free bed.
- Sow seeds 1cm deep in shallow drills spaced 20-25 cm apart.
- Keep soil evenly moist and the seeds should germinate in 14–21.
- Thin seedlings to 5-7 cm apart once established to allow room for roots to develop.
- Harvest from June to November when roots are long, smooth, and deep orange in colour.
