- Sow Direct from late May to early June, once the soil has warmed.
- Sow seeds 5cm deep at 25cm apart.
- Alternatively, sow indoors from late April to May, but avoid sowing too early as beans grow quickly.
- Harden off seedlings and plant outside after the last frost when soil temperature is 15c+.
- Avoid high nitrogen fertilisers, which can cause leafy growth effect pod development.
- The plant shouldn’t need support but provide if needed.
- Harvest the pods when they are young and tender.
- Pick regularly to encourage continuous production.
