The Autumn & Winter Outdoor Salad Bundle is a selection of hardy salad leaves for growing outdoors throughout the cooler months.
Included in this bundle:
Also known as Lamb's Lettuce, Fetticus, or mache, Dutch Corn Salad is an easy to grow, delicious alternative to lettuce for salads. The large leaves can be used raw in salads, as a herb for flavouring, or cooked like spinach.
Corn Salad is a hardy plant, but it doesn't do well in very hot weather and is best grown using successive plantings throughout the year. In hot summers, plant in areas where shade is present in the afternoon.
Corn Salad can survive cold weather, even freezing, so plant in August for fall and winter harvest.
Mustard Mizuna grows an abundance of deeply fringed feathery lime-green leaves with a subtle mildly spicy flavour. Highly resistant to bolting and easy to grow.
Continues to produce many weeks from one planting, with continued re-growth after cutting.
Excellent greens used in salads or cooked.
1255 in stock
Also known as Winter Purslane or Miner’s lettuce this succulent salad green has recently re-gained popularity as a mixed salad leaf and for use steamed similar to Spinach.
The main attraction is its ease of cultivation and its productivity through the winter cold months when little else is growing.
