WILLOW CROSSLEY

Foxglove 'Alba'

£3.50

Be sure to include some of these tall, curving towers of white bells in your garden, for early summer joy. They are surprisingly easy to grow from seed and are quick to germinate. They will thrive in dappled shade, through late spring and early summer and look beautifully dramatic in a large vase.

How to Grow

Sowing and Growing

  1. Sow indoors at 15-20C onto a tray of moist compost.
  2. Do not cover, as the seed needs light to germinate.
  3. Prick out seedlings and pot on into small pots before planting out after risk of frost has passed.
  4. Or sow direct in May and June.
  5. Water regularly, keeping the soil moist not too wet.

Easy to grow in part shade or sun but avoid damp areas. Remove central shoot to encourage side shoots.

Arranging

Try a huge vase of these mixed with fresh late spring foliage. Wash hands after arranging as the flowers are poisonous if ingested.
