Cabbage Primo (II) – Growing Instructions

1. Sow indoors Feb-May at a depth of 10-12mm and lightly cover with vermiculite.
2. Germinate occurs between 4–7 days. Once germinated, grow on in cooler conditions.
3. Prepare the soil in early spring with plenty of well-rotted manure.
4. Transplant after the risk of frost is gone, when the seedlings have 2-3 true leaves.
5. Space plants 50cm apart and protect with a netting or fleece.
6. Alternatively, sow outdoors from late March, sowing 2-3 seeds together.
7. Thin outdoor seedlings to 50cm when they have 2-3 true leaves.
8. Avoid planting where brassicas grew in previous years.
