WILLOW CROSSLEY

Zinnia 'Giant Cactus-Flowered Mix'

£3.50

With our hotter and drier summers, we need to find flowers that can cope. Zinnias are a good option, and this mix is an excellent choice. The long stems and semi-double flowers in pink, red, orange, and lemon grow well in the cutting garden or in pots. Keep cutting them and they will keep growing.

How to Grow

Sowing and Growing

Zinnias do not like root disturbance, so it is better to sow in modules or directly where they will grow. Zinnias do not like cold nights.

  1. Sow indoors in March in modules and cover lightly
  2. Or sow outdoors in drills 30cm apart when the risk of frost is over

Zinnias are a low maintenance flower. Once planted outside, water them well to get them established. Cut the flowers often to encourage more flowering. They may need staking for support.

Arranging

There’s nothing better than a big jug of jolly zinnias. They look great mixed with bright green foliage.
