Sowing and Growing

1. Sow indoors onto moist compost, cover with a sprinkling of soil
2. Ideal temperature 15-20C
3. Transplant seedlings into small pots when they are large enough to handle
4. Or sow directly into well raked soil

Acclimatise the seedlings before planting outside. Deadhead the large flowerheads to prolong the flowering season. Will need staking for support.

Arranging

Cut these early in the morning and sear the stem ends before arranging.  Their height makes wonderful dramatic arrangements whilst their side shoots are gorgeous in bud vases.
