Tulip ‘Hageri Little Beauty’ is a charming botanical or species tulip known for its low-growing habit. As a perennial it will flower and spread in your garden for years, or plant it in pots if you have a small garden. The pink petals are contrasted with striking lavender-blue eyes bloom early in spring, and pairs beautifully with hyacinths and muscari for a vibrant, layered display.

Growing Instructions

  1. Plant between September-November, before the ground freezes. 
  2. Loosen the soil to a depth of around 30cm and mix in organic matter to improve the drainage and soil quality. 
  3. Use a hand trowel or bulb planter and dig a hole which is double the depth of the bulb. 
  4. Place the bulb with the pointed end facing upwards. 
  5. Gently cover the bulb and lightly compress the soil. 
  6. Use a fertiliser in early spring, when new growth appears to support healthy blooms.

• Choose a location that receives full sun, ideally at least six hours of direct sunlight daily. This helps produce larger bulbs.
• After flowering, deadhead spent blooms to redirect energy back into the bulb and allow foliage to die back naturally before removing it to help replenish nutrients for next year’s growth.
• Avoid putting tulips and daffodils in a vase together due to daffodils letting out a substance that can prevent tulips from taking up water.
