Tayberry ‘Buckingham’ is a cross between a loganberry and black raspberry. This thornless variety produces large, dark red fruits with a rich, sweet-tart flavour.

  1. Choose a sunny position with well‑drained, fertile soil.
  2. Remove all weeds and dig in plenty of well‑rotted manure or compost.
  3. Space plants about 250cm apart.
  4. Soak the roots in water for 1-2 hours before planting.
  5. Set up a support system, such as wires, a fence, or a trellis before planting.
  6. Place the plant in the hole with the soil mark on the stem, level with the surrounding soil.
  7. Backfill with soil and gently firm around the roots to remove air pockets.
  8. Water well after planting and keep watered during dry periods while the plant establishes.
  9. Tie the canes onto the support as they grow.
