Swede Best of All. A popular traditional variety producing purple topped hardy medium sized roots that stand well into winter with a mild flavour.
 Cultivation Advice Swede Best of All
- Best sown directly to the growing bed outside from Mid May to Jul.
- Sow thinly ½ inch deep in drills 12 inches apart in soil that has been raked to a fine tilth.
- When the seedlings are large enough to handle, thin out to 6 inches apart, taking care not to disturb damage the remaining plants.  Seedlings do not transplant well.
- Keep the plants well watered especially whilst seedlings and weed free.
- Protection (netting) may be required if pigeons are a problem in your area.
