- Sow undercover between April-May.
- Plant the seed 12mm deep, on its edge to reduce the risk of rotting.
- Lightly cover and place in a propagator at a temperature of 20c or higher.
- Gradually harden off the seedlings after the first true leaves develop.
- Transplant into the growing position late May to early June, after the risk of frost has passed.
- Choose a well-drained, sunny site sheltered from strong winds.
- Provide plenty of space for the plant to spread.
- You can trail these on a trellis when space is limited.
- Water as needed and keep the area weed free for good air circulation.
- Once fruits begin to develop, feed every 14 days with a tomato-type fertiliser.
