- Start the seeds indoors between February-April or August-September
- Sow the seeds on the surface of moist compost and gently press in.
- Place in a propagator at a constant temperature of 18c.
- The seeds will germinate in 10-21 days.
- Once the seedlings are 5-7cm, transplant into individual pots.
- Gradually acclimatise the plants to cooler conditions.
- Plant out once the risk of frost has passed (May-June).
- For autumn sowings, keep in a cold frame to overwinter.
