Narcissus ‘Minnow’ produces stunning blooms with pale cream petals and a soft yellow cup. Although compact, Minnow is multiheaded, creating a dramatic display with each stem producing up 5 delicately highly scented flowers. 

Growing up to just 20cm tall, this dwarf variety is perfectly suited to rockeries, flower beds or even as pot plants. This charming daffodil increases rapidly, reliably coming back year after year with its beautiful display. RHS Award of Garden Merit.

Growing Instructions

  • Plant between September-November, before the ground freezes.
  • Loosen the soil to a depth of around 20cm and mix in organic matter to improve the drainage and soil quality.
  • Use a hand trowel or bulb planter and dig a hole which is around 2-3 times the depth of the bulb.
  • Place the bulb with the pointed end facing upwards.
  • Gently cover the bulb and lightly compress the soil.

• Choose a location that receives full sun, ideally at least six hours of direct sunlight daily.
• If the drainage is bad, add grit to the soil.
• After flowering, deadhead spent blooms to redirect energy back into the bulb.
• Allow foliage to die back naturally before removing it to help replenish nutrients for next year’s growth.
• The clumps will multiply and expand each year.
