Coriander Split Seed – Microgreen/Sprouting

£1.90£15.50

Coriander Split Seed is a delightful and versatile culinary ingredient. When harvested at the microgreen stage, the coriander seeds give rise to tender, delicate leaves and stems that exude a captivating aroma and a refreshing, slightly citrusy taste.

Whole coriander seeds produce two plants, while split seeds only yield one plant each. For microgreen cultivation, split seeds are often preferred as they result in a more evenly spaced tray.

Our microgreen and sprouting seeds are untreated, non-GMO, and have undergone rigorous laboratory testing for pathogens.

Coriander Split Seed – Growing Instructions

  1. Sow your seeds directly onto a moistened growing medium, which is 3-4cm deep.
  2. Lightly mist the seeds with water.
  3. Place the seeded tray into a second tray without drainage holes. This will allow you to bottom water the tray
  4. Cover with another tray on top to stop light getting in.
  5. Leave the seeds undisturbed for 2 days. After this, gently mist when the soil is dry.
  6. Once the seeds are 1-2cm, they should be ready to be placed in a well-lit location.
  7. When watering the seedlings, keep using the bottom tray.
  8. Harvest between day 18-21 or when the seedlings are 5-6cm tall, with the first true leaves. Cut the stems above the soil line with a knife or scissors.
