- Sow seeds from March to mid-July in modules or trays undercover.
- Mix the compost with vermiculite to improve drainage.
- Sow 0.5–1 cm deep in moist seed compost and lightly cover.
- Water as needed and the seeds should germinate in 7-14 days.
- If sown in trays, transfer the seedlings into individual modules when large enough to handle.
- Transplant outdoors from April to early August, spacing plants 20-25 cm apart.
- Harvest from May to October.
