Growing Instructions
- Sow seeds indoors all year round, or directly outdoors after the last frost.
- Plant seeds 0.5 cm deep in well-drained soil.
- Keep soil consistently moist until germination, ideally at 15-25c.
- If sown indoors, transplant seedlings to sunny, sheltered positions.
- Grow in pots or garden beds.
- Pinch out growing tips regularly to encourage bushy growth and prevent flowering.
- Harvest leaves as needed, taking care not to remove more than one-third of the plant at a time.
- Water regularly to help prevent bolting.
- Protect from strong winds and cold temperatures, as basil is frost-sensitive.
