Erigeron Karvinskianus is a low-growing perennial, often known as the Mexican Fleabane, it produces masses of daisy-like flowers with white petals that gradually change to pink and then deep rose. With fine, feathery foliage and a graceful, cascading habit, it is perfect for borders, rock gardens, wall crevices, containers, and hanging baskets.

  1. Surface sow seeds onto moist, well-drained seed compost.
  2. Gently press the seeds in but don’t cover as light is needed for germination.
  3. Place in a propagator at a temperature of 15-20c.
  4. Keep the compost just moist; seeds will germinate in 14-30 days.
  5. When seedlings are 3-5 cm tall, transplant into 8 cm pots or modular trays.
  6. Grow on in a cool greenhouse or bright windowsill, keeping soil moist but not waterlogged.
  7. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions before planting outside.
  8. Plant out in moist, well-drained soil in full sun, spacing plants 25-35cm apart, once all risk of frost has passed.
  9. Can be sown in autumn undercover.
