Growing Instructions
- Dahlia tubers can be potted up in March and April and kept undercover until after the last frosts in May.
- Use a large pot (2 or 3 litre) half-filled with compost. Place the tuber with the stalk stem pointed up. Label and water lightly. Place the pot somewhere frost-free – a greenhouse or sunny windowsill.
- After a few weeks the shoots will begin to push up through the soil.
- Water regularly if the weather is dry and keep picking the dahlias once they are flowering to encourage more growth.
