Carrot ‘Berlicum’ is an open pollinated, maincrop variety which originates from Europe. It produces smooth, long roots which reach up to 20cm long. With firm flesh and a small core, this classic variety is perfect for roasting boiling or adding to soups and stews.

  1. Sow seeds directly outdoors from April to June in a stone-free bed. 
  2. Sow seeds 1-2cm deep in shallow drills spaced 20-25cm apart. 
  3. Keep soil moist to aid germination. 
  4. Germination should occur in 14–21 days. 
  5. Thin seedlings to 5–7cm apart once established to allow good root development. 
  6. Harvest from June to January when roots are smooth, long, and fully developed.
