- Sow seeds from late May to June in modules or trays undercover.
- Sow 1cm deep in moist seed compost and lightly cover.
- Keep soil moist and the seeds should germinate in 7-14 days.
- Pot on seedlings once large enough to handle, maintaining bright, cool conditions.
- Transplant outdoors from mid-June to mid-July.
- Space plants 40-50cm apart in rows 50-60 cm apart.
- Harvest from October to January when heads are firm, dense, and well-formed.
